Towers and other wind mounts We do not recommend mounting wind
generators on roofs. Though it is possible with a wind generator of 500
watts or less output, it will be noisy though and should this be what
works for you, we do offer
Roof
Mounts.
We also offer
Marine Mounts which easily mount the
Air X Marine, Air
Breeze Marine ,
Whisper
100 Marine or
Whisper 200
Marine to your boat.
If you have an recreational vehicle and
want a convenient way to set up a wind generator when you are on the
road, we offer a telescoping
RV
Mount.
Freestanding towers, guyed towers, guyed poles
or mono poles may be used with wind generators. Wind generators
can be mounted on freestanding towers designed for antennas. Mono poles
require a large, engineered concrete base for support, but since they do
not require guy wires, they can be installed in the smaller space.
We are happy to now offer AnemErgonics SMarT foundation kits which
simplifies the installing of a mono pole. SMarT foundations
are custom built to meet your job needs, so please call.
Guyed steel truss towers, also designed for antenna mounting, are less
costly and require a large area for guy wire placement.
Tilt-up guyed wire pole
towers are the most economical and the easiest to install. Wiring and
mounting of the wind generator are done before the tower is erected. No
climbing is necessary. Steel pipe or tubing can be bought locally to save
freight.
- The Air X and Air Breeze can be use
1-1/2 inch steel tubing or Schedule 40 steel pipe where the winds
could exceed 90 miles per hour.
- The Whisper 100 and 200 require 2-1/2
inch Schedule 40 steel pipe
- The Whisper 500 uses 5 inch Schedule
40 steel pipe
- The Skystream although are usually
mounted on a tapering mono pole can also be mounted this way with a
Whisper 500 conversion kit
